Once known for its open plains, Lake Manyara has evolved into a lush forest park, offering a unique and intimate wilderness experience. Despite having fewer large mammals than other parks in the Northern Circuit, its beauty lies in its diversity — from the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment to dense woodlands and shimmering lake shores.

At its center lies the alkaline Lake Manyara, home to hundreds of bird species and seasonal flamingos.

In the afternoon, you’ll return to your lodge, set on the escarpment, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and take in sweeping views over the landscape below.

Home to the Big Five and the iconic Great Migration, this landscape offers constant movement and drama. From sweeping savannahs to rocky kopjes, every turn reveals new wildlife encounters.
