Day 1 – Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village Experience

 Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village

Your journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha, followed by a scenic drive toward the Maasai lands of West Kilimanjaro.

Upon arrival at Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village, you will be welcomed into what is considered the first authentic Maasai Boma and museum experience in Tanzania.

Here, you will step into the traditional way of life of the Maasai people. Guided by experienced English-speaking Maasai hosts, you’ll explore the village, learn about customs, traditions, and daily routines, and gain a deeper understanding of their culture.

You’ll also have the opportunity to view and purchase handmade jewelry created by Maasai women from nearby communities — each piece telling its own story.

Throughout your visit, your participation directly contributes to supporting local families through education, healthcare, employment, and community development.

After your cultural experience and lunch, you will return to Arusha, enriched with a deeper connection to Tanzania beyond its wildlife.
