Day 1 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari Experience

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha.

From here, you’ll drive through the scenic highlands toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater — the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural landscapes.

Upon arrival, you will descend into the crater floor, where an incredible density of wildlife awaits. This unique ecosystem supports a wide variety of animals including wildebeests, zebras, elephants, lions, hyenas, and, with some luck, the elusive leopard.

The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhino. Around the soda lake, you may see flamingos and other waterbirds, while hippos rest in pools nearby.

After an exciting morning of game viewing, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at the famous Hippo Pool — a perfect moment to relax while surrounded by nature.

In the afternoon, you’ll continue your game drive before ascending the crater and returning to Arusha, concluding your safari experience.
