Day 1 – Fly from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park & Full-Day Safari
Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar, where your private driver will transfer you to the airport.
From here, you’ll board a light aircraft for a scenic flight over the Indian Ocean and mainland Tanzania, arriving at Mtemere Airstrip in Nyerere National Park.
Upon arrival, your safari experience begins immediately. You’ll embark on a full-day game drive through one of Africa’s most expansive and untouched ecosystems.
Nyerere is known for its diversity — from winding rivers and open plains to lakes and dense bush. As you explore, you may encounter elephants moving in herds, giraffes browsing acacia trees, hippos resting along riverbanks, and predators such as lions hidden within the landscape.
