DAY 1

ARUSHA

Meet at arrival point and transfer to your lodge for pre-safari briefing.

DAY 2

ARUSHA-LAKE MANYARA

We transfer into Lake Manyara for morning game drive and lunch, a classic safari pic-nic, and enjoy our final glimpse of the great wilds of the Northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara offers an insight into the Great Rift Valley system and the adaptation of many herd animals and magnificent birdlife. We continue Esilalei Maasai Village to explore the area and our school project. In the late afternoon, we zig zag our way up the Rift Valley Escarpment and onto the Rift Valley escarpment wall for overnight. The lodge is located in the farmlands bordering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where the wildlife roam nearby, but the best part is the 180 degrees of views right in front of you.

DAY 3

LAKE MANYARA-NGORONGORO

Short drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is collapsed volcano – an incredible natural amphitheatre, 25 km across and teeming with all of the African big game. Early morning descent into the crater for spectacular scenery and game viewing in what has been described as the eighth wonder of the world. Tonight we are staying on the crater rim, it is quite common for zebra, buffalo and even elephant to be grazing right outside the lodge.

DAY 4

NGORONGORO-SERENGETI

We depart after breakfast to the endless plains of the Serengeti, passing through Oldupai Gorge. We enjoy a view of the archaeological sites (and visit the museum) where early human tools and fossils have been found. Continue to the Serengeti to game drive all the way to our camp. The camp is located to be in best seasonal position for the wildebeest migration patterns and incredible resident wild-life.

DAY 5

SERENGETI

We enjoy further exploration of the endless plains. The habitats are natural and we can game drive with a picnic lunch to explore further afield. There are resident cats and herd animals for us to observe.

DAY 6

SERENGETI-TARANGIRE

We transfer out of the Serengeti and set off in the direction of Tarangire National Park and arrive to our camp for sunset. This camp provides us with a classic bush experience that ensures intimacy.

DAY 7

TARANGIRE-ARUSHA-BEYOND

Early morning game driving in Tarangire National Park; this park is famed for its massive elephant herds, true sense of wilderness and backdrop of baobabs. This is true Africa and the perfect way to end our adventures. You are then transferred to Arusha and your departure point or lodge (Breakfast, Lunch)
