Ngorongoro Conservation Areas

The Ngorongoro Crater is Tanzania’s vast volcanic caldera in northern Tanzania. Its home to the vast, volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and “big 5” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino). This pristine protected area teeming with the world’s densest wildlife populations, stunning landscapes, mountains, the world’s largest unbroken caldera, human evolving history is a destination in Tanzania that is a must to visit. Ngorongoro Crater hosts an extraordinary ecosystem that is ideal for safeguarding and the survival of a large diversity of animals in the crater, ranging from the lions, cheetahs, black rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, waterbucks, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, the hippopotamus to many more games. Leopards normally occupy the rain forests at the crater rim. The crater itself is 610m deep to the bottom, with a base covering 260 square kilometers filled with a diversity of wildlife, ponds plus pools.
